ORTHODONTIC SERVICES
Kids
It is recommended that a child first see an orthodontist at the age of 7. In certain cases, orthodontic treatment is indicated before all permanent teeth have erupted.
Treatment can be used to help develop the growing jaws to allow for the eruption of the remaining permanent teeth. Correcting problems like crossbites and underbites at an early age can help to avoid things such as extraction of permanent teeth and surgeries when the patient is older.

Traditional Metal Braces
Traditional metal brackets or “twin” brackets are the most commonly used type of braces and are more comfortable today than ever before.
Made of high-grade stainless steel, twin brackets straighten your teeth using a sequence of wires that are “tied-in” to the brackets using elastic bands.
With twin brackets, you have the option of adding colored elastics for a more unique and colorful smile during your treatment!
Self-Ligating Metal Braces
Self-ligating brackets are made from the same materials as twin brackets, but these brackets use a specialized clip in place of elastics to help the archwire guide the teeth into place.
The clip helps reduce the amount of friction on the wire and requires fewer adjustments because there are no elastics to replace.
